Hey all Beth blogging today. Well yesterday we started building a showeroom/toilet in the back garden of some ones mud house, for a family in need. we began by digging the cess pit. It was 1 metre wide and 1.2 metres deep, the boys dug very hard whilst the girls formed a chain of bucket carriers! It was very hot and quite tiring but by the end of the day we had completed the hole, and laid the foundations for the shower room. Lots of people were watching for most of the day a great witness of how we can demonstrate Gods love in action. After our building we came home for tea, which was beef stew with rice and spagetti (no rice and beans for us!)
Our Devotions in the morning focused on how we need to keep rejoicing so Chloe thought it right to have a time of worship. Izaias then suggested we go out in the street to do this after ten minutes we had quite a crowd of children and adults + 1 drunken man who rather liked George!!! It was a great witness and quite a crazy time with the children chassing bubbles and air guitaring to our worship. But we are now suffering a little bit of mossie bites!
Plans for today are more building, visting the children who came to kids games, and practising dramas. We are also going to a crusade this evening which is all the churches together having an open air meeting. Please pray for this as the churches dont really work together.
Prayer points:
* please continue to pray for our health and energy.
* Please pray for the land as no news yet.
* Tommorow we have a chuch service, David is preaching, the drama team are doing a drama, and more songs.
Keep comenting we love to hear from you
MUCH LOVE

After a week of not being able to log on and see what your up to, it was great to come home from Cornwall and read the blogs and comments.
ReplyDeleteCornwall was windy, rainy, foggy and with a little more rain as a bonus! Remember that kind of weather in the UK!
Wonderful news we will continue to support you guys in prayer from this end.
Keep up the good work and be encouraged!
With love Ian & Emma x x
Good to catch up with your news. Glad to hear you are working on a building project, sounds like a great witness working together as a team. Try not to scratch mossie bites will make it worse!!! Hope Crusade meeting went well and Davids preaching goes well tomorrow. Sounds like the kids are really benefiting from all the activities. We have been to a wedding today which went well. Look forward to more blog. With love Jan and Martin
ReplyDeleteMud mud glorious mud!Sounds like you're getting your hands dirty for God - brill...
ReplyDeleteThinking of you all - You're doing a great job. God Bless. Chris & Sue xx
Hi everyone - great to hear you're getting your hands 'dirty'! Yes - don't scratch those mossie bites! We were away at Andy and Marianne's wedding yesterday in Winchester - it was a fantastic wedding. Andy had memorised his vows which was very impressive. Marianne looked absolutely wonderful. Off to church this morning and I reckon it will be quite empty - so many people away doing various things including you guys who we are missing. Keep safe, praying for you everyday.
ReplyDeleteLots love

We have sent a few comments which seem to be lost in cyberspace! Probably us being blogging newbies, really! It sounds like you are having a great time and making a difference. Will continue to pray for you all. Thinking of you all every day (especially Chloe). With love Vaughan and Sue Collier
ReplyDeleteWe have been reading your blog every night and have enjoyed the photos.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone suggested pork chops for an evening meal yet or does the pig in the photo belong to someone.
Church was a little depleted this morning but with Martin leading [Romania], Catherine and yourselves [Brazil] and Sam [Africa] being prayed for, it had a real international feeling. We didn't have to have a translation for the speaker though. (Hope David enjoyed the experience).
We had an excellent speaker at the Anvil on Wednesday night, talking about some of the differences between Christain and Moslem belief. So to be helpful to you, if you should meet someone of the latter faith, do not tell them you have been to a crusade.
We wish we were there with you but say hello to those who know us and keep smiling.
All our love
Ian and Miriam
Hey everyone, just found this blog today (thanks to mum finally showing me the link!) glad to hear you've found some work to do, after the misunderstanding with the houses earlier this week!
ReplyDeleteI hope your remaining time over there is just as successful, and that you manage to build on the plot of land you've found!
Chloe, just a little side note - Noah has been asking for you today! He went looking for you at one point too, calling your name over and over. Little man wants you home!
Take care all, and leave the mozzie bites alone!
Brilliant! - I'm so impressed you can cram so much into each day - are Brazilian hours different to Essex ones? Well God's timing is somewhat different to ours but he's shown you that already.. Lots of love Graham
