Ola Chloe speaking,
So, we’ve been busy for the last two days!
Monday we had: - Visits to children from the ‘Kids Games’ last week.
- Finishing the building work on the bathroom.
- Viewing the land that we are looking at buying.
The visits to the children went well and we’ve finally finished them!
The building on Monday was slow but we started to render the inside walls. Sam Hayden and Joe had a good try but their wall looked like polka dots. Beth was exceptionally good at rendering and I thought I did a good job too. Also, we got the roof on and we started painting it on Monday with waterproof stuff.
We were able to visit the plot of land we are looking to buy. It is 7m x 30m, an adequate size for the purpose we wish to fulfil.
Tuesday we had: - We looked around the market (Dave and Joe bought a hammock).
- Card making in the morning for a mini ‘Kids Games’
- More building work!
- Mini ‘Kids Games’
The Building work went really well! Everyone worked hard on it :) We have completed the rendering on the inside and on the outside. We’ve even concreted the floor inside too. We are just waiting for a plumber now to sort out the shower.
The mini ‘Kids Games’ was great fun. We did it near the area we were building in with all the children we’ve seen since we started building. We faced painted at the beginning, it was hard because the kids moved a lot but they loved it. Some of the children there accepted Jesus. Afterwards we had cake and handed them out some cards thanking them for participating.
Prayer points:
-Pray for the children we have visited that they will read the books we gave them and that their desire to know more about Jesus grows day by day.
-Pray for the land. That God will oversee all decisions.
-Pray for all the families and children we’ve met during building. That God will bless them and that he will stir up a curiosity in them about Jesus!
-Pray for the children who accepted Jesus in the mini 'Kids Games' on tuesday that they will have a real desire to know more about Him!
-Continue to pray for our health

Hi Guys,
ReplyDeleteReally enjoying the blog - it's so good to be able to pray for specifics. Thanks for the new prayer points Chloe.
Chris - We missed you at Andy & Marianne's wedding, but obviously thought of you during my toast to absent friends!

Hi everyone - sounds like you are having a great impact and we do pray that the kids read the books and understand about Jesus. Chris and Sue have been up at the church today putting up the stuff for holiday club - Chris has built his house on the platform again!
ReplyDeleteGirls - great work on the rendering! Well done!
Other sports news is that England are going to host Rugby Union World Cup in 2015 - they won the bid yesterday.
We've won another couple of Golds in the swimming in the World Championships.
Other news is that Portugese Man of War Jellyfish have been found on my favourite beach in Devon! Ha ha - sorry just had to put that - know it is not at all relevant!!!
Anyway - still missing you lots and praying for you all.
God bless

Hi All - us again!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog - thanks. Gal 6 v 9 says Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Keep up the amazing work - even if your tired or unwell you are making a great difference!
I hear some people are not feeling too well, including our Sam - hope your okay and still continuing to pray for all of you!
With loads of love and constant

Hi guys
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds like you guys are really busy-really good to hear that all is going ok and that folks there are being blessed and making decisions for Jesus.
look forward to hearing all your adventures in person-but until then keep up the great work.
will be praying for the land and for your health-may the Lord keep his hand of protection over you as you continue to love and serve both Him and the folks in Brazil.
God bless
Ian
It's great to be part of the mission through prayer. Beautiful feet of those that bring the gospel to others! Good to see the kids are open and hungry for Jesus.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics the other day but don't let Joe enter any diving competitions. Keep up the good building work and games with the kids.
Bless everyone you meet with words that plant seeds that will last for eternity. Hope you feel well soon.
Love to all
Grant & Marta
Good to hear your news, hope that everyone is better health wise. Interesting to read the comments about the tidiness of the rooms in the absence of certain team members, can say the same with David not being at home Martin made the comment tonight of no yoghurt pots to pick up!!Hope that plumbing gets fixed ok for the bathroom and that you continue to minister to the folk in the area. Looking forward to your return at the weekend. Much love.
ReplyDeleteWell done you have obviously impacted the community. Now as your thoughts turn to UK and those waiting for you at home have a safe journey and Chris enjoy exploring.

You must be getting ready to come home now - hope you are all fit and well. We need you to come back full of life and vigour and ready for Holiday Club. The church is now a jungle! We had the emerging leaders meal in the middle of it last night! Missed those of you who are on it and normally there - it was lasagne, garlic bread, salad followed by bread and butter pudding or toffee cheesecake!
ReplyDeleteNot sure of any other significant news other than someone in the West Country launched a paper plate of cheese into space earlier in the week - sadly the attempt probably failed and they think it landed somewhere in Essex or Hertfordshire! Only in England!
Hope and pray that your final days go really well.
Lots of love
Dave and Alice
